Wardrobe Refashion
I did it, I took the plunge...I mean pledge! I have pledged that for the next 2 months I will not buy any new clothes and instead will refashion the clothes I do have into something I can wear. Maybe I will get started tonight...riiiight, lol. If you are interested in more info, check out the 'button below!
The Pledge
I, Erin Cummings, pledge that I shall abstain from the purchase of "new" manufactured items of clothing, for the period of 2 months. I pledge that i shall refashion, renovate, recycle preloved items for myself with my own hands in fabric, yarn or other medium for the term of my contract. I pledge that I will share the love and post a photo of my refashioned, renovoted, recycled, crafted or created item of clothing on the Wardrobe Refashion blog, so that others may share the joy that thy thriftiness brings! Signed Erin Cummings....

Getting crafty
I have a birthday party to go to next month for a 2 year old little girl. I LOVE to make stuff for little girls. There are just so many more options out there. So, without further delay, here are the creations that I have made. :)

And a close up of the appliques. They are called reverse appliques and an easy tutorial on how to do them can be found HERE

The yellow splotch on the back is actually a small yellow butterfly. :) Thanks for looking!

Been away for a while
So I kind of neglected the blog for a while. Oops. We've had a busy summer. We did a lot of fruit picking the beginning of the summer.
I made a lot of fun desserts with all the fruit we picked. Yummm!
Sean had his first birthday and it was a blast! We had an open house with a lot of awesome guests.
Other than that we've been playing and having lots of fun!
Things we are looking forward to:
Finally starting my masters at Widener University
School starting up (yes, I'm looking forward to going back to work...)
Going to Gettysburg at the end of September
Going to Orlando (and Sea World!) at the end of December
Fall (my favorite season!)

Sewing, sewing, and then some
I have my first craft fair this weekend. I am excited. I have been doing a lo of sewing to get ready for it. I am going to sell baby legwarmers, crayon rolls and tutus. So far so good! I can't wait!I am going to be super busy tonight and tomorrow to get ready for it though.
Another funny Jacobism....I was sitting on the floor and my shirt came up in the back. He was looking at my tattoo and said "I like your new butt Mommy! It's pretty!".....
